Next Level Edamame
Ingredients
- 500 g frozen whole edamame beans
- 1 nori seaweed sheet
- 1 to 2 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- Zest of 1/2 orange (optional)
- Chili flakes and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut up the seaweed sheet into small pieces and set aside.
- Boil the edamame directly from the freezer for a brief time only (about 2 minutes from when the water boils) and remove them when they are bright green.
- Add the edamame to heated oil in a wide pan and let them sit and brown while you add the soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, sesame seeds, chili flakes, seaweed, black pepper, and orange zest (if using). Mix everything together very well and remove off the heat when you are happy with the color.
- Garnish with extra seaweed, sesame seeds, and some sea salt. Serve warm.
