Description
My husband went to Turkey and came back saying that Turkish kafta is the best and that we are all missing out. Now that statement couldn’t just be left alone. We couldn’t go about our days pretending he never said that. So we made Turkish kafta and it actually turned out pretty amazing. It is so flavorful and moreish you will find yourself making this again and again. One thing to note is, you must use a mix of beef and lamb meat. Using only beef will not give you the fat needed to give these skewers the right flavor, and remember fat = flavor. If you want to do 70% beef and 30% lamb like I did, that would be a good option, you could also do half half and that’s even more flavorful (and fattier).

Ingredients
- 220g Medjool Dates
- 100g Peanut Butter
- 20g Chis Seeds
- 60g Rolled Oats
- Pinch of Salt
- 0.5 tbsp Vanilla
Instructions
- Pit the dates and then process all the ingredients together till you get a nice paste. Shape into balls and roll in baking paper and that’s it. I made 14 balls out of this quantity and that comes to 108 calories / ball, which makes it a beautiful vegan snack (or quick suhour) for when you need one. Happy snacking
