Cook the onion in the olive oil until tender. Add the garlic and continue cooking. Add the mushrooms and sprinkle with a bit of salt. Cook on medium high heat.2- When the juices are somewhat reduced add the butter. When it melts, sprinkle the flour and mix.
On the side, begin cooking your steaks. Make sure they are dry and sprinkled with salt and pepper on both sides. Don’t turn them constantly, a couple minutes on each side should do.
Back to the mushrooms, add the broth, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and herbs. Easy on the salt, I didn’t need to add more as the broth is already seasoned. Cook until thick and fragrant.
Add the steaks to the sauce and simmer for a minute. We had this with a fresh salad and some mashed potatoes. Enjoy xx
