Lebanese Shish Tawouk Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken Breast (Cubed
  • 1 Lemon (Juiced)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 7 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Seven Spices (or Black Pepper)
  • 1/2 tsp Aleppo Pepper (or pinch of Cayenne)

For the Sandwiches

  • 1 Loaf Lebanese Bread
  • Garlic Sauce (Toum)
  • Pickles
  • French Fries

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and cube them. Then add all the ingredients and mix them in the chicken to marinate. Marinate minimum for an hour (up to 24 hours).
  • Grill or cook in a pan, on skewers if desired
  • Make the sandwiches by opening Lebanese (pita) bread, spreading garlic sauce, French fries, and pickles. Then toast the closed sandwiches and enjoy them hot.
