Garlic Naan
Ingredients
To begin:

instant yeast

salt

sugar

cup warm water
To add after blooming:
1/3
cup warm milk

tbsp
yogurt
3
tbsp
olive oil

garlic cloves, grated or smashed

flour (3 and 1/3 cups) + extra 2-3 tbsp
Nigella seeds before baking
To spread:

tbsp
butter
2
tbsp
minced garlic
Coriander, optional
Instructions
in the bowl of your mixer add the yeast, salt, sugar and warm water. Wait 10 minutes for the yeast to bloom.
add the warm milk, yogurt, olive oil, mashed garlic and flour.
knead on medium high with a dough hook for about 10 mins. Add the 2-3 tbsp towards the end so the dough isn’t sticky, if needed.
cover and let it rest for 90 mins or until it’s huge.
oil your clean surface and your hands, cut and shape into 8 balls.
rest for 15 minutes.
pull and tug to shape, try not to deflate the bubbles, sprinkle with nigella seeds if you like (I love).
cook on a very hot pan, flipping only once.
brush with the butter garlic mix and sprinkle coriander leaves. Enjoy warm! Sahtein 😍
Notes
if you want regular naan, skip the garlic in the dough and don’t brush any in the end.
