Form the meatballs by mixing the beef, chopped onion, chopped parsley, parmesan, salt and pepper. Form smallish balls with your hands. A trick you can do to gain time is to get ready-made kafta from the butcher and just mix some parmesan cheese into it. This way you can save time.
In a large pot, heat up the butter and the olive oil together then cook the meatballs and remove once done.
In the same pot, using the remainder of the oil / butter, cook the onion for 4-5 minutes then add the garlic. Cook it very briefly before adding the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring it to a boil. I like to use an immersion blender to get a velvety sauce but feel free to skip this.
Add the cooked pasta and the cooked meatballs, let it simmer on low heat for 2 minutes. Top with more parmesan and serve. I have a feeling this will be a favorite for kids and adults alike.
