Heat the olive oil and add the onion slices. Cook on high until colored
Add the garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute
Add the broccoli and cook on high all throughout. Set the timer to five minutes, that’s how long you will cook the broccoli, not longer
On the side make the sauce by mixing the sesame oil, soy sauce and the cornstarch (mixed already with water). You can add honey or sugar here too, but I didn’t today. With 2 minutes to go on the timer add the sauce and cook. When the five minutes are over add the sesame seeds and serve
Notes
Enjoy this as a side or as a main dish. A good option would be to add 1/2 cup of cashews in the beginning with the onion and have a vegan meal
